Announcing “Project Won Hundred”: A Unique, Fully Funded Facilities Management Learning Opportunity for 100 Beneficiaries in Gauteng
MSC Education Holdings proudly unveils Project Won Hundred, an industry-leading skills development initiative aimed at qualifying 100 unemployed youth as Facilities Managers over an 18-month period. Funded by Services SETA through a discretionary grant, this groundbreaking occupational certification programme (NQF Level 6) responds to the growing demand for skilled facilities professionals who can effectively manage both operational and strategic facets of modern facilities.
Equipping Future Facilities Managers
Participants in Project Won Hundred will undertake the Occupational Certificate: Facilities Manager programme, designed to provide learners with in-depth theoretical knowledge, hands-on practical application, and on-the-job work-integrated learning. The curriculum highlights key strategic and operational proficiencies, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to enter the workforce with the skills necessary for immediate impact.
Key elements of the programme include:
Knowledge / Theoretical Component: Comprehensive modules covering industry best practices, emerging trends, and essential frameworks in facilities management.
Practical Component: Real-world training and exposure to actual facilities management tasks and responsibilities.
Work-Integrated Learning (WIL): Placement with a host company, where each learner is mentored and coached by an experienced facilities management professional. Learners will be integrated into the workplace on a full-time basis throughout the duration of 18 months.
Through close collaboration with leading industry experts and subject matter specialists, classes will be conducted primarily online in small group settings to ensure active engagement and personalised support.
Funding and Support for Learners
As part of this initiative to uplift youth in Gauteng, Project Won Hundred will offer each qualifying learner a monthly stipend to assist with transport and other support needs throughout the programme, removing some of the economic barriers that often stand in the way of educational advancement.
